Members of the North York General Foundation Heritage Circle were welcomed to the 25th annual Heritage Circle Luncheon at the Donalda Club on Tuesday, September 30th. Guests were invited to celebrate donor giving and learn more about how their gifts are used to continuously improve the hospital and the care we provide.
After welcoming remarks from the Foundation CEO and President Terry Pursell, our Board Chair Ron Baruch and North York General Hospital President and CEO Dr. Tim Rutledge, guests had the opportunity to meet and dine with clinicians from our Charlotte & Lewis Steinberg Emergency. The team engaged the group with their presentation entitled “Life in the Fast Lane: Advanced Emergency Care”.
Dr. Kuldeep Sidhu, Chief & Program Medical Director, Emergency Medicine and Sandy Marangos, Director, Mental Health and Emergency Services led a poignant presentation highlighting real-life examples of how donor support has enabled our emergency team to provide exceptional patient- and family-centered care.
North York General is revolutionizing the delivery of emergency care for patients within our Charlotte & Lewis Steinberg Emergency. Through the support of our donors, we have been able to fund many exciting renovations, including a dedicated mental health unit, a more streamlined design for triage and registration and several private inpatient rooms on the 7th and 8th floors that can be used for emergency patients requiring isolation.
The Heritage Circle was created to recognize our planned giving donors. Members of the Heritage Circle have made a gift to the foundation, such as a bequest, a life insurance policy, a charitable trust, or have created an endowment fund.
