The breadth, scale and scope of NYGH’s Paediatric Care Program is unparalleled by any other community hospital in Ontario. But the clinical spaces that house it have remained unchanged since the hospital was built in 1968. It is critical that we move forward with a bold new plan that will fundamentally change how paediatric care is delivered to our community.

“NYGH sees over 35,000 child and youth patient visits each year. We respond to more than 22,000 emergency visits and perform the most paediatric surgeries outside of specialized hospitals.”

NYGH’s Paediatric Complex Care Clinic has transformed how families in our community seek care. Chronically ill children living in the North York General catchment, now receive long-term management of their health just minutes from their front door.

Your investment in NYGH 4 Kids will help us centralize all paediatric services into one integrated space, making it easier for children and families to receive the high quality care they need. This means that every aspect of a patient’s care will be provided in one location, giving families a sense of familiarity and comfort while navigating their children’s complex medical conditions.

Over the last decade, we have seen a sharp increase in outpatient visits and demand for specialty and sub-specialty clinics. Reconfiguring our clinical footprint will allow us to prepare for our community’s future growth, and will give us the space to host our growing variety of sub-specialty clinics.

With your help, we will raise the $3.6M remaining of the $7M needed to create a modern hospital within a hospital and completely transform the care experience for our community.
