NYGH mental health counsellor shines light on accessible mental health supports
As Canadians across the country recognize Mental Illness Awareness Week (October 2-8), North York General Hospital’s mental health counsellor Adam Green is sharing what it means to him to support youth across North York and beyond.
As a Clinical Coordinator, Child Development & Counselling Unit at Phillip’s House, the home of child and adolescent outpatient mental health at NYGH, Adam works with youth and their families in assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
Supporting youth for over 21 years, he stresses the importance of accessible programs and services, support from loved ones and the ability to empower his patients.
