Prizes: The actual prize amount will vary depending on participation. Fifty percent (50%) of all funds received for each biweekly draw will be awarded to the prize winner. Prior to each draw, electronic raffle tickets will be issued to your NYG email address through an Electronic Raffle System (ERS) approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and operated by the charitable gaming supplier Ascend Fundraising Solutions. Draws will occur on the Friday of each pay day. For each pay period, a winning number will be selected online at random from all valid tickets by the Lottery Administrator on behalf of North York General Foundation. Winners will be notified by email by the North York General Foundation, and all participants will subsequently receive an email confirming the winning ticket number. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and must be a North York General staff member, physician, or volunteer. Any missed payment will result in the nullification of the participant’s ticket(s). Participants may cancel their enrolment in the lottery at any time by providing written notice to the North York General Foundation at foundation@nygh.on.ca. Enrolments and cancellations must be received by the deadlines specified in the Draw Schedule. The lottery rules and regulations are available at nyg5050.ca or by contacting the Foundation office at 416-756-6944. Enrolment will automatically roll over to future years unless written notice of cancellation is provided to North York General Foundation.

Consent: In accordance with AGCO regulations, winner information - including ticket number, name, and contact details - must be collected and provided to the AGCO. Winner information (first name and date of winning) will also be published on the North York General Staff 50/50 Lottery website at nyg5050.ca. With the winner’s expressed consent, their name and photograph may also be shared on the Foundation’s social media channels and in other communications promoting the staff lottery.
