Terry Pursell

For over 50 years, North York General has been a beacon of care in the North York community, serving generations of families. Therefore, I am excited about the recent arrival of our hospital’s new President & CEO, Dr. Joshua Tepper. As a family doctor and an emergency physician who has cared for this community, he has a deep understanding of our aging and growing population. He is also keenly aware of the role of philanthropy in caring for this community and how much we depend on you to meet the needs of our patients and their families — from birth to end of life.

Since the launch of our $150m campaign in 2012, our community, volunteers, physicians and staff have given back in historic numbers — over 370,000 gifts of all sizes from 83,000 donors.

Dr. Tepper and I are pleased to share with you that we not only exceeded our $150M goal, we did so a year earlier than planned and are now at $157M! And we can’t wait to shape the future together with you, our North York families, friends, businesses, physicians and staff.

Philanthropy has enabled our hospital to provide better care and save lives — right here in your own backyard. Thank you for marking this incredible milestone in our 50th year.

Warm regards,

Terry
