Why does NYGF do door-to-door fundraising?
Door-to-door fundraising is one of the most effective and personal ways we can reach out to donors. It allows us to have meaningful interactions with those in our community about the importance of our hospital and the need for support. Monthly donations provide a sustainable income that allows us to continue caring for our aging and growing community.
How do I know the fundraiser is from NYGF?
Our partners from Globalfaces Direct will be canvassing from September to October and will be identifiable by their NYGF branded vests and photo ID. Each team member is also equipped with information sheets and electronic tablets to track and process your donation. Our fundraisers never accept cash or cheques at the door.

What time of day do fundraisers canvas?
The most successful time of day for door-to-door fundraising is when people are likely to be home. Our fundraisers work from 1:00pm to 8:30pm, Monday to Friday.
How does the sign up process work?
Our fundraiser will enter and submit your information into the secure tablet and then call into the Telephone Verification Center with the following numbers:

The agent on the phone will proceed to confirm your information on a secure recorded line and process your first donation on the spot! Once processed, your financial data is further encrypted according to Payment Compliance Industry (PCI) Standards before being inputted into our NYGF secure database. Within 24-48 hours you will receive a confirmation email from NYGF.
How can I change or cancel my monthly gift?
