Our 50/50 lottery is a great opportunity for staff to participate in something fun and give back to North York General Hospital (NYGH). It’s also an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the dedicated staff that make our hospital such an amazing place. We spoke with Nila to learn more about her role at NYGH:
Q: Aside from winning, what do you like about the staff lottery?
A: I like that the lottery is not only about the prize —it’s also about raising money for a good cause.
Q: What’s your role at NYGH?
A: I work in the Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness department as an Abilities Management Specialist. I am responsible for short-term and long-term staff, Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) claims, and case management. I work with managers and employees to design modified work programs and arrange for early and safe return to work.
Q: Why did you choose to work at NYGH?
A: NYGH is known for being a great place to work, and I couldn’t agree more. We have a fantastic team, and I am proud to be part of this organization.
