As the hospital embarks on its most ambitious chapter yet — with bold expansion plans including a modern New Patient Care Tower, the creation of one of Ontario’s largest Long-Term Care homes and a top-to-bottom revitalization of its Birthing Centre — NextGen represents the rising generation of philanthropists and leaders helping to advance this vision and carry it into its next phase.

We’re proud to champion a $22 million revitalization that is bringing modern, family-centered spaces and equipment to the next generation of families — many of whom, like us, began their own stories here.

Your Commitment

NextGen members are leaders who value both impact and accountability.

Each member commits to:

A two-year term
A $5,000 personal contribution ($2,500 per year; monthly options available)
Activating your network through two signature fundraising events — Picklebowl and Trivia Night
Bringing your energy, expertise, and ideas to support the #1 community academic hospital in Canada

As members of NextGen: Emerging Leaders for NYG, we are proud to put our collective fundraising power, and the support of our network of caring individuals, to help fund the redevelopment of the Birthing Centre at NYG. Since NYGH opened its doors over 50 years ago, they have been there for over 300,000 births, supporting more families and parents during this life-defining moment than any other community hospital. This $22 million campaign will ensure that the space matches the level of care and expertise that NYG is for. Together with our donors we will help we are there for the next generation of families and parents during one of life’s most defining moments – the birth of a baby

What is NextGen: Emerging Leaders for NYGH?

Join other professionals who are emerging in their career and ready to redefine the next generation of philanthropists. Bring your energy, ideas and enthusiasm for health care fundraising to NYGF, while also meeting and networking with like-minded industry leaders and hospital executives.

Our NextGen program can serve as a feeder for future committee and board positions at NYGF, allowing you to use your unique skills and POV as we embark on the largest fundraising campaign in our history.
