North York General’s Youth Ambassador Program: Lead With Purpose

Lead With Purpose

Do you care about your community and want to turn that passion into real-world impact?

As a Youth Ambassador for North York General (NYG), you’ll help drive the future of care in your community while building skills that will serve you for years to come.

Make a real impact: Youth Ambassadors support the #1 community academic hospital in Canada that delivers exceptional care to nearly 500,000 patients each year.

How does the Youth Ambassador Program Work?

As a Youth Ambassador, you take the lead — bringing your ideas, creativity, and passion to support North York General through meaningful fundraising.

Design your own fundraiser – Turn your idea into action, whether it is a bake sale, birthday party, sports challenge or an event for a cause.

Choose your timeline – Plan your fundraiser at a pace that works for you.

Set your goal – Decide a fundraising target and rally your friends, family, and community to support your cause.

Lead your fundraiser – Bring your idea to life by organizing, promoting, and running your event.

Tell us your idea! You’ll receive support and guidance from the NYG team along the way while building leadership skills, strengthening your résumé, and earning valuable experience for future opportunities.

“My initial goal was to raise $2,000 for the hospital, but the day exceeded all expectations. Even reaching the initial target felt great, but almost tripling it was amazing.”

— Jerry Liu
At only 17 years of age, golf enthusiast Jerry Liu raised an impressive $5,026 for NYG through a tournament he organized himself.
