Donors support vital equipment for NYG’s maternal newborn unit

Since North York General opened more than 50 years ago, the hospital has supported more families along their birthing journey than any other community hospital in Ontario. That’s why we are the largest and most comprehensive maternal and newborn program at a community academic hospital in the province.
Halo Bassinets at North York General - These moveable and adjustable top-of-the-line bassinets are replacing the old stationery wooden versions, allowing families to keep their newborns close and recover during the critical time after birth. The bassinets can be wheeled over to the bed, enabling a new parent to cuddle and feed their baby easily, or to another area of the room where a family member can watch over the baby. This equipment is making a profound difference for families during the post-partum period.
