Over the last 34 years, Masters Golf has raised over $6 million to help NYGH be there for life’s most defining moments. In keeping with our beloved tradition, proceeds from the 2025 event will go towards the Freeman Centre for the Advancement of Palliative Care and Cancer Care at NYGH.
Join this exclusive group of 144 golfers and enjoy a full day of golfing at Donalda Club, one of Toronto’s premier golfing destinations, all the while giving back to the community.
The Freeman Centre for the Advancement of Palliative Care
The interprofessional team at the Freeman Centre for the Advancement of Palliative Care provides compassionate care to patients living with life-limiting illnesses (including cancer) and their families at home and in hospital. The team ensures patients live as comfortably as possible, with improved quality of life in their final days. Philanthropic support has always been at the heart of the Freeman Centre and allows us the opportunity to offer specialized in-home care, improved in-patient care, patient care research and capital improvements.
Cancer Care at NYGH
NYGH is a recognized leader in the treatment of breast, colon and prostate cancers, and we are renowned for delivering exceptional, compassionate care. Our breast cancer program is the only one in the country accredited by the National Breast Centers (NAPBC), which is administered by the American College of Surgeons. Last year, the program received almost 35,000 patient visits, making ours one of the largest cancer programs in the GTA. The donor community is central to ensuring the dedicated cancer care team has the equipment and advanced technology it needs to save lives. Care is provided in healing spaces that offer comfort and hope: the Baruch/Weisz Cancer Centre, the Karen, Heather & Lynn Steinberg Breast Centre and the Gale & Graham Wright Prostate Centre.
