Over the last 34 years, Masters Golf has raised over $6 million to help North York General (NYG) be there for life’s most defining moments. This year, as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of this tournament, proceeds from the 2026 event will go towards the Freeman Centre for the Advancement of Palliative Care and Cancer Care at NYG.

Be one of the 144 golfers coming together for an unforgettable day on the greens, united by a shared commitment to our hospital!

The Freeman Centre for the Advancement of Palliative Care

The interprofessional team at the Freeman Centre provides compassionate care to patients living with life-limiting illnesses and their families at home and in the hospital. Philanthropic support enables us to provide specialized care, as well as undertake research and capital improvements.

Cancer Care at NYGH

NYG is a recognized leader in the treatment of breast, colon, and prostate cancers. Last year alone, the program received over 36,000 patient visits, making it one of the largest cancer programs in the Greater Toronto Area. The support of our donor community ensures our dedicated cancer care teams have the advanced equipment and technology they need.

Our staff can provide information on making charitable bequests and establishing endowments, as well as gifts of securities, life insurance, RRSP/RRIF funds and real and tangible property. We would be happy to work with you to efficiently plan or process your client’s gift and discuss recognition options.

Sample Wording For:

A Special Will Bequest:

“My estate trustees shall pay the sum of $__ to North York General Hospital Foundation.”

A Residual Bequest

“My estate trustees shall pay and transfer (1) [or more] equal share(s) of the residue of my estate to North York General Hospital Foundation.”

If your client wishes to designate their gift, simply add language to the above samples related to the program they wish to support. For example: “I wish for my donation to support the Breast Cancer Program at NYGH.”
