Giving back this Giving Tuesday
For the first time, all donations made to North York General will be tripled thanks to our friends and generous donors Gursikh Sabha Canada. This means even more impact across our hospital, helping to ensure we have the right equipment, technology and care environments for the hundreds of patients who need it every day.
Caring from the heart
Dr. Rose’s practice at NYGH specializes in Cardio Oncology; the care of cancer patients with cardiovascular disease that was already existing or acquired during cancer treatment. It also involves the prevention, early recognition, and mitigation of the effects of cancer therapy on the cardiovascular system.

MyJourney is a first-of-its-kind custom digital platform that empowers patients at North York General (NYGH) to self-manage their cancer journey. The app, that was founded through the involvement of our donor community, delivers a survivorship care plan to patients that includes educational resources personalized to their type of breast cancer, their cancer care summary, and their appointments.

Finding comfort in kindness and compassionate care
The 67-year-old was first diagnosed with cancer in 2003 and has since received treatment out of NYGH’s Graham & Audrey Rosenberg Family Cardiac Care Clinic from Dr. Randi Rose, described by patients and staff alike as compassionate, comprehensive and utterly kind.
